POINT ARENA, CA Something fresh is coming to Point Arena. Saturday, July 4th, designer Charlie Fisher is opening Altered State — a new clothing boutique and creative community space.

Charlie, known for her popular August Valentine brand and boutique bus, has built a loyal following by turning reclaimed materials into stylish, zero-waste clothing. At Altered State, she’ll offer her signature handmade pieces alongside carefully selected vintage clothing, jewelry, furniture, music, and art from other local designers. Hail Creek will be showcasing for the first time. Brilliant, fresh, masculine streetwear.

The “altered” experience goes beyond shopping: the shop will offer on-demand clothing alterations, sewing workshops, skill-sharing sessions, and regular clothing swaps. It’s designed as a welcoming place to create, connect, and learn — with Charlie’s goal being “a space where looking at your phone feels criminal.”

The grand opening kicks off with a Fashion Gathering and Runway Show on Saturday, July 4th, from 6pm to 9pm. Expect fantastic snacks, great music, good vibes, and local models showcasing August Valentine and Hail Creek. Whether you’re looking for unique clothing, want to learn new skills, or just need a comfortable third space to hang out, Altered State is a unique experience not to be missed. Stop by, say hello to Charlie, and see what all the buzz is about.
